Spokane Police to offer “Citizens Academy” with courses held every Wednesday, May 6 – June 8. Participants will experience hands-on and virtual training and gain insights into police investigations, policy and procedure.
The Spokane Police Department will be hosting a Citizens Academy starting on Wednesday May 6th through June 3rd. The classes will be held every Wednesday from 6:00pm to 9:00pm.
The Spokane Police Department Citizens Academy provides participating community members with an inside look at the SPD and a working knowledge of the various aspects of law enforcement.
The Citizens Academy is free to attend, but spots are limited.
During the academy, students are introduced to police training (hands-on and virtual), operations and investigative procedures, special police units, etc. The Citizens Academy will culminate with a graduation ceremony with students will be awarded certificates of completion.
Classes will be held at the Spokane Police Academy, 2302 N. Waterworks St., Spokane WA 99212.
