A Spokane Police Patrol Officer took a local Repeat Offender into custody after a traffic stop. Jyreel Brandom (22) was booked into jail for Driving on a Suspended License (DWLS) 3rd Degree, Operating a Vehicle without an Interlock Device, and Obstructing a Police Officer. In addition to those charges, he was booked on Six (6) outstanding warrants for his arrest on various charges, three of which were domestic violence related.

Last night, Feb. 2, 2016, just after 7:00pm, Officer Brandon Lynch observed a vehicle with defective equipment and a check showed the registered owner of the vehicle, Jyreel Brandom, had a driver’s license that was suspended. Ofc. Lynch attempted to stop the vehicle, but it pulled into an apartment complex in the 2000 block of east Nora. Brandom exited the vehicle and refused to obey any verbal commands given by Ofc. Lynch. Brandom then attempted to enter an apartment and slam the door on Ofc. Lynch. Ofc. Lynch was able to follow Brandom and take him into custody without further incident.

Brandom currently has 4 felony convictions. He was booked on the new charges as well as six warrants; two for DWLS 2nd Degree, one for DUI, one for City Assault Domestic Violence, and two for Violation of a Domestic Violence Order.
