Spokane Police Investigating a Shooting in North Central Spokane

The victim in last night’s shooting has died from his injuries. Identification and precise manner of death will be released by the Medical Examiner’s office.

The Spokane Police Major Crimes Unit is investigating a shooting in the 1300 block of north Howard. Officers responded to the location after receiving a call of a shooting. A male found there was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Last night, March 20, 2016, shortly after 10:30pm, the Spokane Police Department responded to the area of 1300 N Howard St. on reports of a shooting. One male victim, approximately 30 years old, was located with severe injuries. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment. A vehicle believed to be involved was also located a short distance away.

The scene is being processed and involved persons are being interviewed. We ask that citizens use Washington or Division as alternate routes as Major Crimes Detectives investigate.
