Kiera Inman, the subject of recent Amber Alert out of the Spokane Police Department, was found this morning, just before 3:00am PST, in Ohio. She was asleep in a vehicle with suspect Zachary Jones at a rest stop just outside of Columbus. An Ohio State Patrol Trooper performing a routine check of the rest stop discovered the vehicle sent out in the Amber Alert with the two of them inside.

The Spokane Police Department was contacted by Ohio State Patrol early this morning and notified they had found Kiera Inman, suspect Zachary Jones, and the 1997 Acura listed in the Amber Alert, at a rest stop just outside of Columbus, Ohio. A Trooper performing a check of the rest stop, which is typical especially when an Amber Alert has been issued, found the vehicle with the two asleep inside. Jones was taken into custody without incident and Kiera was taken to an area hospital to be cleared of any possible medical concerns.

We are working closely with Ohio State Patrol (OSP), Newport News (VA) Police, and the FBI to determine what charges Jones will face in our jurisdiction as well as others. We would also like to thank all our other law enforcement partners who assisted us in finding Kiera and spreading the word to the public. We received numerous tips from across the country and have greatly appreciated the assistance from everyone!
