SPD Investigating Bank Robbery Near Northtown

Spokane Police are investigating the robbery of the Banner Bank on north Division  The incident occurred just before 4:15pm this afternoon.  The suspect fled on foot southbound from the bank after demanding money. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call Crime Check at 456-2233.

This afternoon, May 26, 2016, just before 4:15, pm, Spokane Police received a report of a robbery at the Banner Bank in the 4400 block of north Division.  The suspect entered the business and demanded money from a teller. He fled south bound on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

 

Officers arrived on scene within three minutes of being dispatched but were unable to locate the suspect, even with the aid of a K9.

The suspect is described as a white male, mid 30’s, approximately 5’7”-5’8” tall with a thin build and a beard. He was wearing sunglasses, a black sweatshirt and jeans. This investigation is ongoing.
