As part of the City of Spokane’s continued commitment to increasing and improving public safety, the City will host several community #SpokaneStrong Public Safety Forums for Crime Prevention.

The forums will include Mayor David Condon, City Council Members, officers from the Spokane Police Department and representatives from Spokane C.O.P.S. serving as panelists to share information and answer questions on crime prevention.

“Neighborhood safety takes a community effort,” Condon said. “We will use the forums to talk about tools and resources, answer questions and help to empower neighborhoods to take an active part in preventing crime.”

“It is critical that we involve the community in the effort to reduce crime,” said Councilmember Lori Kinnear, Public Safety Committee chair. “Sharing ideas and creating better awareness of the tools and resources available to neighborhoods and individuals is an important next step.”
