The Spokane Police Major Crimes Unit along with members of the Spokane Regional Safe Streets Task Force (SRSSTF) are requesting the public’s assistance in locating Darren J. Bercier. Bercier is a suspect from a shooting in the 2100 block of west Sharp on July 30th, 2016. He is currently wanted for Assault 1st and Theft of a Motor Vehicle. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Check at 509-456-2233.
Just after 5:00am on July 30, 2016, Spokane Police responded to a report of a shooting in the 2100 block of west Sharp. Police arrived on scene to find two male victims who had been shot. One victim sustained life threatening injuries. Both victims survived.
SRSSTF Detectives have since developed probable cause to charge Darren J. Bercier (21 years old) with 1st Assault and Theft of a Motor Vehicle. Detectives do not believe this crime was random and there is no danger to the public in general. They are asking anyone with information regarding Bercier to call Crime Check at 509-456-2233.
If you know his immediate whereabouts please call 911. Bercier is considered armed and dangerous.
The Spokane Regional Safe Streets Task Force in comprised of investigators from the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office, Spokane Valley Police Department, Spokane Police Department, Washington State Patrol, Washington State Department of Corrections and the FBI. The SRSSTF is a FBI sponsored task force working to alleviate the criminal activities of gangs, violent criminals and upper level drug traffickers.
