The Spokane Police Major Crimes Unit is investigating a shooting in the 5700 block of north Market. Officers responded to a business in that location after receiving a call of a shooting. Officers found an adult male with a gunshot wound at the location. He was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
This morning, September 17, 2016, just after 4:00am, Spokane Police Patrol Officers responded to the report of a shooting in the 5700 block of north Market. Responding officers discovered a male at the location with a gunshot wound. The victim is at an area hospital with serious injuries, but is in stable condition at this time and is expected to survive. The Major Crimes Unit was called in to assist in the investigation.
Major Crimes Investigators have spent the morning interviewing witnesses and processing the scene. Detectives do not believe this is a random shooting and there is no danger to the public.
