Spokane Police Investigating Attempted Robbery

Spokane Police are investigating an attempted robbery of the Jo-Ann Fabrics located at 2801 E. 29th Ave. The incident occurred just before 1:50pm on Thursday, January 12. The suspect fled on foot westbound from the store. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call Crime Check at 456-2233.

January 12, just before 01:50pm, Spokane Police received a report of an attempted robbery at the Jo-Ann Fabrics located in the 2800 block of E. 29th Ave. The suspect entered the business and presented a note demanding money from the cashier. Moments later, the suspect grabbed back the note and fled westbound from the store.

Officers arrived on scene within four minutes of being dispatched, but were unable to locate the suspect.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5’06” tall, with an average build. The suspect was wearing a dark puffy jacket, blue jeans, an orange backpack, and a light colored scarf covering his face. This investigation is ongoing.
