Update: Canyon Greens Shooting Investigation

Spokane Police are investigating a deadly shooting which occurred in an apartment located in the 1000 block of S. Westcliff Place.

Update: The suspect in this case, Tyler H. Clark (24 years old), was booked into jail on charges of 2nd Degree Murder.

Previous release: Today June 5, 2017, just before 2:00PM Spokane Police responded to the report of a shooting in the Canyon Greens Apartments located in the 1000 block of S. Westcliff Place. The shooting occurred after a dispute between the involved parties. Upon the arrival of the Spokane Police Officers, the male victim was found to be deceased. The suspect was detained, and the Major Crimes Unit (MCU) is conducting the investigation. Witnesses are cooperating with the investigation. The investigation is ongoing and Spokane Police will remain in the area for the next several hours. There is no outstanding threat to the community as all involved parties have been accounted for.

The identity of the deceased and the cause of death will be released by the Spokane Medical Examiner’s Office.
