Early this morning, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office took four males into custody for 1st Degree Kidnapping stemming from an incident that happened in downtown Spokane just over a week ago. Michal Mikolaj LYSEJKO (27), Waclaw Jan KIELTYKA (35), Rafal Tomasz PIOTROWSKI (31), and Hubert Edward WIECEK (30) were taken into custody without incident in Santa Ana, California. The Spokane Police Department would like to thank LA County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance in both the investigation of this incident and apprehension of these individuals.
On Sept. 1st, 2017, just before 2:00am, Spokane Police received a call from a victim reporting an incident that happened after a concert in downtown Spokane. A patrol officer responded and assisted the victim. The report was then sent to the Special Victim’s Unit for follow up. Based on the information they developed during the subsequent investigation, and with assistance from the LA County SO, the four males were taken into custody for 1st Degree Kidnapping in Santa Ana this morning. They were booked into jail there and will face extradition to Spokane.
The partnerships the Spokane Police Department has with other agencies near and far are invaluable; especially when following up on serious allegations and crimes such as this. We greatly appreciate Los Angeles County’s help when it comes to holding criminals accountable for serious offenses committed here in Spokane.
