SPD Investigating an Early Morning Armed Robbery

The Spokane Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that happened early this morning at the Cenex Zip Trip at Perry and Illinois. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call Crime Check at 509-456-2233.

Spokane Police Patrol Officers responded to the report of an armed robbery at the Zip Trip, in the 1500 block of east Illinois, just after 3:30am this morning, November 15, 2017. Witnesses reported two suspects entered the business and took cash and merchandise; one of the suspects armed with a handgun at the time. Both suspects are described as darker skinned, possibly Native American. The armed suspect, a male, is said to be in his 30’s, approximately 6’ tall, heavy build, and was wearing a dark colored jacket and blue jeans. The second suspect, a female, was approximately 5’6”, thin build, wearing a light colored jacket and blue jeans.

The two suspects entered the business, demanded items from the clerk, and left on foot northbound through the parking lot with an undisclosed amount of cash and merchandise. Anyone with information on this incident or who these suspects might be is asked to call Crime Check at 509-456-2233.
