SPD Officer Placed on Administrative Leave after Domestic Violence Arrest

Last night, Officer Nicholas Spolski was placed on administrative release after being arrested for one count of assault 4th degree domestic violence.

On November 30th, 2017, the Spokane Police Department was made aware of an allegation of domestic violence assault against one of their officers that occurred last Sunday. The officer was identified as Nicholas Spolski.

Deputies went to Spolski’s home and arrested him.

Officer Spolski was placed on administrative leave and an Internal Affairs investigation will proceed after the criminal investigation has been completed. It is standard procedure of the Spokane Police Department to place any member on administrative leave following an arrest while the matter is being investigated.

Any further information about the criminal investigation will be released by the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office.
