The Spokane Police Special Investigative Unit (SIU) along with the Target Crime Unit (TCU), completed an investigation today leading to the arrest of two people for Manufacturing a Controlled Substance. The search warrant was served with the help of the Washington State Patrol SWAT Team as well as the Department of Ecology due to the extremely dangerous situation posed by the method of manufacturing and the substance being manufactured by the suspects.
Today, August 27, 2018, just before 9:00am, Spokane Police Investigators from SIU and TCU assisted by WSP and the Department of Ecology, executed a search warrant on one half of a duplex in the 1500 block of east Bridgeport. SWAT operators from WSP assisted because of their training in taking down dangerous controlled substance manufacturing labs and the Department of Ecology assisted to ensure the safety of the community.
Ashley M Bowman (26) and Fikadu A Alamine (31) were taken into custody without incident and booked into Spokane County Jail for Manufacturing a Controlled Substance. They will be in court at 1:30pm tomorrow.
The Spokane Police Department appreciates the cooperation from the neighbors not only today but with reporting the suspicious activity that assisted us in ascertaining the information leading to today’s successful operation. It’s because of this cooperation a dangerous lab was dismantled and two suspected drug manufactures were taken into custody.
