This Christmas season the SPD provided Christmas gifts to 35 families in need.  Of those 35 families 18 of them were helped through a partnership with the Spokane Police Foundation, along with Les Schwab, the Salvation Army, Wal-Mart and the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center.

Seventeen families (including 42 children) were blessed by way of people and units throughout the police department “adopting” them.

In addition to helping with the Police Foundation work Les Schwab helped wrap and deliver presents on December 23 and 24.

SPD would like to thank everyone involved this year. It is partnerships like this that make these endeavors possible.
