On February 4, 2020 Officers responded to a collision in north Spokane. They learned a truck was traveling south on Crestline. The truck ran a red light at Wellesley and struck a vehicle that was traveling eastbound. After the collision, the truck went across oncoming lanes, over the curb and into a grass area where it struck a power pole. The power pole was sheared off at the base.

Both drivers were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Avista responded to the scene and advised the damage was extensive. They will have work trucks out working on the issue for most of the day, causing the road to be shut down.
The affected area is northbound Crestline, between Hoffman and Wellesley. The shutdown will most likely go through rush hour traffic, so if you can take another route you are advised to do so to avoid major delays.
