On March 12, 2020 Officers responded to the Albertson’s parking lot on north Nevada St. A male called in and said that he can see his stolen Subaru Legacy in the parking lot. He observed a male walk away from the vehicle and go into the store. Officers responded to the store and set up containment around the area. The victim of the vehicle theft gave a great description of what the suspect was wearing so he would be easy to spot when he left the store.
Minutes later, Officer’s spotted a male matching the description walk out of the store. He was later identified as 26 year old Jacob Bozo. Officers closed in and contacted Bozo as he was about to get back into the stolen vehicle. Officers placed Bozo into handcuffs and during a search of him, located a loaded semi-automatic handgun, Methamphetamine and a bag of Heroin.
Bozo is currently of Department of Corrections (DOC) supervision. He has a felony warrant from DOC and the original charge is possession of a stolen motor vehicle. He was booked into jail for that warrant, another charge of possession of a stolen motor vehicle, unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of Heroin and Methamphetamine.
Bozo has 10 convictions on his record. 4 of those are felonies and they include, Possession of drugs, 2nd Theft and 2 counts of possession of a stolen motor vehicle. The other 6 misdemeanor convictions include Vehicle prowling, possession of drugs, malicious mischief and 3 counts of theft.
