On Sunday evening, Officers responded to North Town Mall for a theft. The suspect ripped a cell phone out of another customers hand and then took off running. Officers were close by and located the suspect fleeing from the area. The suspect was detained and arrested for various charges.

On March 22, 2020 a 54 year old male was sitting on a bench inside North Town Mall. He was relaxing and looking through his cell phone. He was unaware that 22 year old Titus Ralpho was watching him. However, alert security Officers picked up on Ralpho’s suspicious behavior and started to follow him on camera. Soon after that, Ralpho’s walked up behind the 54 year old male and slapped the phone out of his hands. Ralpho’s grabbed the phone and took off running through the mall. Ralpho’s exited the mall and fled into the neighborhood.

There has been an uptick in crime around the North Town Mall area in recent weeks and Officers have been patrolling the area heavily. There just happened to be a patrol Officer in the parking lot of North Town Mall. He was made aware of the incident and drove through the area trying to locate the suspect. About a block to the north, Ofc Manning did locate a male (Ralpho) matching the description. Ralpho’s attempted to hide in a nearby yard but was located and detained quickly. Ofc Manning did locate the victim’s cell phone in Ralpho’s possession.

Ralpho has already recently been trespassed from North Town Mall twice, both as a result of theft incidents. He currently has warrants for his arrest for Theft and making false statements. He was booked into jail for his warrants and new charges of Burglary, for committing a crime in a place where he was trespassed. He was also charges for Robbery 2nd for using force to take property from somebody else. Both of the new charges are felonies.
