14-Year-Old Girl Stops Vehicle Theft

Spokane Police are searching for the suspect in an attempted vehicle theft on that occurred on April 24th, 2020 near the 3000 block of E. 30th Ave.

The victim was not present at the time of the theft, but the victim’s 14 year old daughter stated that she observed her father’s red Ford F150 being driven away from its parking spot in their apartment complex. She chased after the vehicle barefoot, jumping in the bed of the moving truck which ultimately caused the suspect to stop in the road on 30th Ave and flee the area on foot. 

The victim’s son was able to get a picture of the suspect and the vehicle that dropped the suspect off at the apartment complex before the truck was taken
