ATM Robbery

On Wednesday night a female had gotten money from an ATM on the lower south hill. Moments later she was approached by two subjects who had a gun and demanded her money. After handing over the cash, the victim was able to obtain a vehicle description in which the suspects fled in. On Thursday, an alert Officer observed the vehicle matching the description at a gas station at 3rd and Maple. Several Officers responded and took two people into custody for the Robbery.

On Wednesday July 29th a female called to report she was just robbed at gunpoint. The victim advised that she had taken cash out from an ATM at 6th and Washington. Moments later she was approached by two subjects, one of which had a handgun. The pair demanded her money and she handed over the cash. The two suspects then fled the scene in a vehicle. The victim was able to obtain a vehicle description and license plate. Officers searched the area that night and did not locate the vehicle.

The next day, Thursday July 30th, Officer Mohondro was patrolling the downtown corridor. He observed a vehicle matching the description at the gas pumps at 3rd and Maple. Ofc Mohondro then confirmed that it was the same license plate from the Robbery call. He stood by and waited for back up units to arrive. Once Officers had arrived on scene, they made contact with the vehicle occupants and detained them.

After conducting an investigation, Officer Mohondro was able to confirm that the two occupants of the vehicle were involved in the Robbery from the previous night. Both suspects were booked into jail for 1st degree Robbery. Their vehicle was taken for evidence and is pending a search warrant.

The suspects were identified as 29 year old Lexus Harding and 30 year old Rian Bango.
