Early Morning Stabbing

Spokane Police Officers are currently investigating a non-fatal stabbing in the 3100 block of East 5th that took place earlier this morning.

This morning at about 7:24 AM SPD received a call of a stabbing at a residence in the 3100 block of East 5th Avenue.  When SPD patrol officers arrived, they found a male stabbed in the abdomen and the suspect had fled the location on foot.

Preliminary information is the male victim and a female witness know the suspect.  The female witness lives at the residence and has had recent issues of harassment by the suspect.  The victim has been transported to a local hospital with what were described as serious, but non-life threatening injuries by medical personnel.   

The investigation is ongoing and police are attempting to locate the suspect.
