Two Spokane shootings in an 8 hour time frame

#2020-20223087:

On December 29, 2020, around 5:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting in the area of 1600 E. Wellesley Avenue. Multiple callers reported hearing several gunshots and seeing a group of kids run from the scene.

Officers did not locate anybody at the location but they did recover a couple of knives, some brass knuckles and several bullet casings in a parking lot.

About an hour after the shooting, two 16-year-old teens showed up at an area hospital. Both had a non-life threatening gunshot wound to their leg. Both victims were being not truthful in their statements based on surveillance video from the scene.

No arrests have been made nor have any suspects been identified at this time. This is an ongoing investigation.

#2020-20223235:

On December 30, 2020, around 1:30 a.m., officers responded to a report of a drive-by shooting in the area of 3500 E. Glass Avenue. While en route to the call, it was reported more than a dozen shots had been heard and a window had been shattered.

Officers arrived on scene and confirmed no one inside the residence had been struck by gunfire or injured. Three females were inside the house at the time of the shooting. Officers did observe the home had been struck by numerous bullets to include; the front door, the walls and the shattered window. Several different bullet caliber casings were recovered from the scene.

No arrests have been made nor have any suspects been identified at this time. This is an ongoing investigation.
