The Spokane Police Department is requesting the public’s help in locating a 78 year old female who walked away from the Nevawood neighborhood.
On 08/21/2021, at about 2 P.M., Officers responded to the 300 block of E. Walton Avenue in Spokane for a report of a missing person. Officers made contact with family members who advised their 78 year old mother, identified as Vicky Powell, walked away from the house a couple of hours ago and has not returned. Family stated Vicky has short term memory loss from a stroke she suffered. Vicky is also diabetic and blind. Vicky currently has her dog with her, which is a black chow named Izzy.
Vicky is about 5-02, 220lbs with white gray hair and blue eyes. Vicky was last seen wearing a matching brown shirt and sweatpants. Vicky was also wearing a backpack. Vicky is not from around this area so family is unsure where Vicky is headed.
