Woman deliberately struck by vehicle in downtown Spokane, suffers significant injuries
On 11-17-21 at about 12:30PM, SPD responded to a vehicle vs pedestrian collision near S Browne St and Pacific Ave in Downtown Spokane.
Officers arrived and located an adult female who was badly injured. That person was transported to a local hospital for further treatment. Officers learned the collision was likely deliberate; prior to the person being struck an altercation occurred between two adult females. One of the involved females began walking north on Browne St. The other female drove a vehicle the wrong way on Browne, striking the woman she had been in an altercation with, before also striking a concrete structure.
The driver of the vehicle was also transported to a local hospital for evaluation. Criminal charges for the driver are forthcoming. Major Crimes Unit collision investigators responded and processed the scene.
