Suspect arrested for armed robbery in north Spokane apartment

On 03-02-23, just before 8AM, SPD responded to the report of a robbery in the 7000 block of N Colton St. The male victim told officers he met a female at an area casino and subsequently accompanied her to an apartment at the N. Colton location.

Once inside the apartment, the male was reportedly robbed at gunpoint by several individuals.

SPD patrol officers contacted several subjects leaving the suspect residence. One individual, 22-year-old Joji Joji, was identified as being involved in the robbery and was subsequently booked into Spokane County Jail for Robbery 1st degree. SPD obtained a search warrant for the apartment seeking additional suspects and evidence of the crime.  After being granted the search warrant, SPD’s SWAT team searched the home and no additional suspects were located. Investigators then processed the apartment for evidence.

The investigation is on-going as SPD works to identify and locate additional suspects.
