SPD is seeking assistance in locating a missing person

Spokane Police are investigating the disappearance of a young man reported missing by his family. 20-year old Joseph Kamau was last seen at his residence in the Gonzaga University area sometime after midnight on March 3rd, 2023. Kamau is a black male - 5’10” –weighing  170-210 pounds. Kamau works at a local McDonald’s and has not reported to work as scheduled.  His family is concerned because he left his personal items behind and they say it’s out of character for Kamau not to connect regularly.

Kamau was last seen wearing gray sweat pants, black slide type sandals, and he was not wearing a shirt. Please call Crime Check at 509-456-2233 or contact Detective Bjur at abjur@spokanepolice.org if you have seen Kamau or have any information regarding his whereabouts.
