Officers arrest several juveniles after stabbing, robbery on Monroe St Bridge

On 04-11-23, a little after 8PM, SPD responded to a stabbing which occurred on the Monroe St Bridge. Officers located a victim suffering from a non-life-threatening stab wound and located another individual who was physically uninjured but had been robbed during the encounter.

Officers learned the two victims were accosted by a group of teenagers as they crossed the Monroe St Bridge. During the incident, personal property belonging to a victim was taken and the other victim was stabbed by a suspect brandishing a knife.

Officers quickly began to develop leads which led them to a residence in the 1400 block of W Maxwell Ave. There, officers located multiple individuals, three of whom were identified as being involved in the violent attack. Additionally, property belonging to a victim was located at the residence.

A fourteen-year-old and two sixteen-year-olds were arrested for robbery 1st degree and assault 1st degree and booked into the Spokane County Juvenile Detention facility. The investigation is on-going and additional arrests and/or charges are possible.
