SPD responds to an early morning homicide, suspect in custody

On 1/24/24 just after 3 a.m., Spokane Police officers responded to a call of a man shot at a residence in the 3300 block of E. 55th Ave. Upon arrival officers found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite life saving measures by police and medical personnel, the man was prounounced dead. A suspect was immediately detained and cooperated with police. Detectives developed probable cause to charge Cody M. Low (22) with 2nd Degree Murder. He was booked into the Spokane County Jail later the same morning.

This is an ongoing Major Crimes investigation, more details will be released as appropriate. The name of the victim will be released at a later date by the Spokane County Medial Examiner’s Office.
