On July 29th, 2025 the Spokane Police Department conducted search warrants at two different locations in reference to a firearms investigation. Detectives with the SPD Special Investigations Unit (SIU) became aware of information regarding the transportation and sale of illegal firearms into the Spokane area. Following up on the information, SIU Detectives pinpointed two locations of interest. One address was in north-west Spokane, the second was in Spokane County just north of Deer Park. Due to the safety concerns of the firearms trafficking and the fact the investigations involved several jurisdictions, multiple agencies took part in the serving of the warrants. SPD SWAT along with HNT and the Air Support Unit (ASU) were joined by members of the ATF, SCSO SWAT and Kootenai County SWAT as the warrants were served around 11am today.

The search warrants yielded the following evidence:

  • 17 firearms to include a suppressor.
  • 2 of the firearms were non-serialized.(Ghost Guns)
  • 13 of the firearms seized were handguns.
  • $10,000.00 in cash to include a large quantity of Xanax pills.

The investigation in on-going with arrests of the suspects still pending.
