Detached shed a total loss after early morning fire

At approximately 1:40 a.m., the Spokane Fire Department responded to the 2300 block of E. Pacific Ave. on a report of a detached shed on fire.

The first arriving crew reported smoke and flames visible with downed power lines along with a detached garage adjacent to the shed with direct flame impingement.

Firefighters quickly contained and extinguished the fire preventing it from spreading to the garage A search of the garage was also conducted to ensure no one was inside.

Seven fire apparatus along with 21 firefighters responded to fight the fire. The fire was contained and extinguished within 10 minutes of units arriving on scene.

There were no injuries to civilians or firefighters reported.

The shed was a complete loss. The cause of the fire is under investigations by the Spokane Fire Department Special Investigation Unit.
