7:12 a.m. - The Spokane Fire Department urges people to operate portable generators and other engines outside of enclosed spaces.
5:52 p.m. - The DEM is still working to assess the damage caused by last night’s severe storm.
4:55 p.m. - As power outages and storm cleanup continues, several shelters are open in Spokane to help people looking for a warm place to stay Wednesday night.
