In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday, Nov. 26, the Waste-to-Energy facility will be closed, and garbage pickup and curbside recycling will be a day late for residents whose garbage is normally picked up on Thursday and Friday. Because of the holiday, crews will do Thursday rounds on Friday, Nov. 27, and Friday rounds on Saturday, Nov. 28.

City of Spokane employees will not be available for phone or online customer service needs on Thanksgiving Day and Friday, Nov. 27. That includes developer services and permit functions, 3-1-1 inquiries, utility billing questions, Municipal Court requests, and records requests. City Hall and other City facilities remain closed as part of the response to the coronavirus pandemic. Curbside materials pickup and computer access appointments at Spokane Public Library branches are unavailable on Thanksgiving. For more information on City’s service changes visit our web site.

Thanksgiving is a parking meter holiday; meters do not need to be plugged. For the rest of the Thanksgiving weekend, normal meter use rules apply.

At Riverfront Park, the Numerica SkyRide is closed Thanksgiving Day but opens again on Friday, Nov. 27 from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. Family units may ride together.
