The Martin Luther King, Jr. Family Outreach Center has been a long-time partner in making Spokane safer and stronger. The services the center provides – including free preschool and after school programs, parent education, and job training – are tools that serve families and children for a lifetime.

While the MLK family center has been busy helping local families achieve their goals, the City of Spokane now has the pleasure of supporting one of the center's big dreams. We have reached an agreement with the Martin Luther King, Jr., Family Outreach Center to sell the building it has occupied in the East Central neighborhood for several years to the center.

The deal ensures the building continues as a community resource and enables the Martin Luther King, Jr., Family Outreach Center to explore new and exciting possibilities. Now that the organization will own its own building, the organization will be better able to pursue avenues such as improving or expanding facilities and services through grant money.

Spokane is a safer and stronger community because of the work of the Martin Luther King, Jr., Family Outreach Center. We are delighted to help the center move forward to make an even greater impact in our city.
