October Construction Update

The 2016 construction season was the City of Spokane’s biggest construction season yet with $84 million in projects. There were 43 Capital Projects this year, take a look at the ongoing projects.

Projects expected to finish this month include:

Construction on the 37th Avenue project and Lincoln Monroe 2nd to Main Avenue project is scheduled to continue into November. These projects will finish the season with a base pave with top lift paving scheduled for the 2017 construction season.

“The condition of our streets is one of our top priorities and that of our citizens,” said Mayor Condon during yesterday’s media briefing. “We appreciate your patience and continued support of businesses in the construction zones.”

The Streets Department has been hard at work this construction season too. Their work included 14 grind and overlay projects, three skin patching projects, and 21 residential crack seal projects. Over 61 miles of Spokane streets have been improved this year! More information on streets projects.
