The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) has launched an interactive North Spokane Corridor (NSC) website to foster community engagement. The website is full of opportunities to learn about and contribute to “creating place” in and around the remaining five-mile segment of the NSC.
The team is using creative placemaking to shape the spaces that are relevant to the community that they represent. Placemaking is the process by which community members have a voice in the development of places that they interface with the most often. The process seeks to represent the culture, values, and beliefs of the community at large. Read more about placemaking.
Stay up to date on the North Spokane Corridor project by liking the project’s Facebook page. The NSC website will periodically be updated with project information and developments.
