Fall 2018 Cleaning from the Corridor

It’s time to show care for your Spokane again! In April, hundreds of volunteers descended on the Peaceful Valley neighborhood to help their fellow Spokanites. The event known as Cleaning from the Corridor or CFTC helped spruce up the Peaceful Valley neighborhood.

Now it’s time for the fall CFTC event! On Saturday, September 29 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. volunteers will be working in the Audubon/Downriver neighborhood.

Cleaning from the Corridor is an event occurring twice annually benefitting neighborhoods throughout Spokane. The event will focus on highlighting the cleanup program offered by the Office of Neighborhood Services and in partnership with Solid Waste Services and the Audubon/Downriver neighborhood council.

As part of this event residents of the Audubon/Downriver neighborhood will have the opportunity to remove unwanted trash and household items by delivering them to Finch Elementary. Residents will also be able to receive the assistance of volunteers to clean off their properties. Occupants in the neighborhood can expect a letter with more event details in the coming days!

This event wouldn’t be what it is if it weren’t for all the wonderful volunteers that have created a successful event every year! Those interested in volunteering for CFTC please reach out to Abbey Martin, amartin@spokanecity.org.
