  • Renter Right to Cooling Ordinance:
    This ordinance (C36877) intends to give renters the right to access cooling devices during extreme heat events. Council has heard testimony in support for the health and safety of tenants in our city, and against for the cost impacts it would have on affordable and market-rate landlords to retrofit older buildings. This is scheduled for a vote on June 22.
