A Commercial Loading Zone (CLZ) permit is for commercial vehicles as defined in SMC 16A.04.100. A Commercial Loading Zone permit allows the permit holder to park in sign-designated Commercial Loading Zones while actively and expeditiously loading and unloading for up to 30 minutes (SMC 16A.05.060.B). Commercial Loading Zone hours vary; the hours for each zone are displayed on the Commercial Loading Zone signage.
The City of Spokane requires all companies who deliver within City limits to have a valid City of Spokane Business License.
Note: Food trucks, taxis/cabs, and mobile vendors are NOT eligible for Commercial Loading Zone permits. Find permitting information for mobile vendors on the Business Licenses page.
