Former Peaceful Valley Community Center building available for rent

The City of Spokane Parks and Recreation Department owns and operates a building located at 214 North Cedar Street (Glover Field), Spokane, Washington. The Building is currently vacant and was previously occupied by the Peaceful Valley Community Center.
The City of Spokane is formally issuing a Request for Expression of Interest by those entities that wish to pursue renting the building located at 214 North Cedar Street, Spokane, Washington. An entity that occupies the building must be a use related to Parks and Recreation activities, be consistent with all zoning/building codes, and allow the Peaceful Valley Neighborhood to use the building for evening neighborhood meetings. No occupant will be allowed to expand the building. At this time, the City of Spokane is not seeking formal proposals.
Minimum Qualifications: The Entity must be able to prove its ability to pay rent.
Period of Performance: The period of performance of any contract resulting from this Request for Expression of Interest will most likely be for greater than 5 years, but most likely not more than 20 years.
Please submit a letter of interest to Leroy Eadie at the Parks and Recreation Department at Spokane City Hall by July 3, 2015, at 5:00 P.M., Pacific Time.
