SPOKANE – The City’s six aquatic centers are scheduled to open Monday, June 20 and run through Friday, August 26, 2022. The City operates Comstock, AM Cannon, Hillyard, Liberty, Shadle, and Witter pools.

Swim Lessons, Training Courses, Aquafit, & Lap Swim

Swim lessons, free swim clinics, training and certification courses, and Aquafit classes are available, as well as swim lesson scholarships. Visit www.SpokaneRec.org to learn more.

Reserved lanes for lap swimming are available during regular season for $4 per hour, during designated times at Witter, Comstock, and Shadle pools. To view times and make a reservation, visit www.SpokaneRec.org and click on “Adult Lap Swim Reservations.”

Rent A Pool!

Did you know aquatic centers are available for private after-hour rentals? It might be the perfect place for your next celebration! During private rentals, patrons have full access to the aquatic center including certified staff to keep your gathering safe. Funbrella and classroom rental spaces are also available, perfect for birthday parties or small gatherings. Splash Pads

Most of the City’s splash pads are now open across City parks for the summer. View list of splash pad locations. Spokane is home to 19 splash pads, open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. through September 6.  

Select splash pads that are immediately adjacent to schools are kept offline until school is out for the summer. Those pads are Mission Park, Nevada Park, Grant Park, and Harmon-Shipley Park. The Carson Park splash pad is undergoing repairs.
