Need to file a report, submit a tip, or request a copy of a police record? This section explains the different ways to report incidents, including non-emergency options, and how to access your police records.

File a Police Report

In an Emergency: Call 911

File a Non-Emergency Report

Eligible reports include:

  • Harassing phone calls
  • Lost property
  • Theft
  • Vehicle prowl
  • Vandalism
  • Vehicle tampering

For other non-emergencies, call Crime Check at 509.456.2233.

To report traffic problems such as speeding concerns to the Spokane Police Traffic Unit, call 509.625.4150.

Submit a Tip

To submit a tip regarding an abandoned vehicle, please call 311 or use our Code Violations online form.

Report a Collision

If your collision involved $1,000+ in damages or any injury, report it online through the WSP Online Motor Vehicle Collision Reporting System, unless a police officer is filing one for you.

Request a Copy of a Police Report

Request a police report for incidents within Spokane city limits:

  • Online
  • In-Person: Tues–Thurs, 10 a.m.–12 p.m. and 1–3:30 p.m.

Situations requiring IMMEDIATE ASSISTANCE by phone from trained mental health counselors: call 988

Crime Check
Non-emergency police services: call 509.456.2233 to report crimes no longer in process or submit crime tips.

Non-emergency reporting of potholes, graffiti, or unlawful camping, utility billing, and general information on city services: call 311 or report online
