The Safe Traffic Operations Program (STOP) is a voluntary traffic safety class offered by the Spokane Police Department. It gives eligible drivers the opportunity to avoid having a ticket reported to the Department of Licensing by completing a one-time educational course.

To be eligible for STOP, your ticket must be for a single qualifying violation — and you must not have any of the following conditions:

You must respond within 30 days of receiving the ticket. If you wish to take STOP, check the box to request a court hearing as directed on your ticket.

To successfully complete STOP, you must:
No children, guests, or pets allowed.
No drugs or alcohol permitted.
Failure to follow rules or complete the class may result in dismissal — and you'll need to appear in court on your original hearing date.
