Officers follow footprints in snow and locate two suspects; 19-year-old Darren Bard and 20-year-old Nicholas Whitney were arrested on 2 counts of 2ndDegree Burglary.
On 2-25-14 at around 2 a.m. Spokane Police responded to a garage burglary in the area of 100 W 23rd. Officers responded to the location and noticed fresh footprints in the snow leading away from the garage area. They also received several other calls of garage burglaries in the area during the same time. Ofc. S. Lesser and K-9 Ofc. C. They observed that the occupants of the vehicle fit the description of the suspects provided by witnesses and stopped the vehicle. Officers contacted the two occupants, 19-year-old Darren Bard and 20-year-old Nicholas Whitney.
Officers were able to match the footprints of the two men to the footprints found in the snow at the location of the burglaries.
