City, SPD deliver one year update to Use of Force Commission

Mayor David Condon and Chief Frank Straub will deliver a one year update to the Use of Force Commission regarding the implementation of the Commission’s 26 recommendations tomorrow, Thursday, March 27, 2014 at 1:00 pm in City Council Chambers.

In February 2013, Mayor Condon and Chief Straub accepted all 26 of the Commission's recommendations and provided an initial briefing as to the steps that the Spokane Police Department would take to ensure their implementation. In August of 2013, the Mayor and the Chief delivered a six month progress report. Tomorrow, the Mayor and Chief will deliver a one year progress report.
