Spokane Police Respond to Early Morning Shooting

Spokane Police are investigating a shooting that took place early this morning. Currently all parties have been accounted for and the male who was shot is receiving treatment at a local hospital. Major Crimes Detectives were called out to assist in the investigation. Anyone who witnessed this incident is asked to call Crime Check at 509.456.2233 (if not already contacted by police at the scene).

This morning, 11/29/14, just after 2 a.m., Spokane Police responded to the report that a male had been shot in the 800 block of west Maxwell. Initial statements from witnesses indicate the altercation started as a physical fight in the area. One person retrieved a gun and fired a shot, hitting the male and causing serious injury. Officers were able to locate the male who fired the shot and all parties have been accounted for at this time.

Major Crimes detectives continue to investigate this incident. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident and was not contacted by police at the scene is asked to call Crime Check at 509.456.2233.
