William Ringer was taken into custody by Lake County Sheriff Deputies with out incident in California. Early reports lead us to believe the media coverage in Spokane played a huge role in his surrender, circumventing an incident in Spokane.

At approximately 9:30 a.m. today the Spokane Police Department responded to SCC on a report of a threat to attack the campus.

During the investigation Spokane Police developed probable cause that 29 year old William P Ringer was behind the threats. Officers have obtained warrants for Ringer’s arrest. The warrants are charging Ringer with felony harassment/ threats to kill.

Ringer allegedly threatened to kill two people at SCC.

Spokane Police are asking anybody with information to call Crime Check at 456-2233.

If anyone sees Ringer, call 911.
