Spokane Police Officers arrested John P. Luna (30) for Drive-By Shooting and 1st Degree Assault last night after an incident in East Central. The Patrol Anti-Crime Team (PACT) was able to take Luna into custody without incident later in the evening at a residence just outside the city limits on the north side of Spokane.

Last night, June 7, 2016, just before 7:30pm, Spokane Police officers responded the report of a shooting in the 400 block of south Fiske on Spokane’s lower South Hill. Witnesses reported an altercation involving Luna at the residence. Luna returned a short time later and fired several shots at the home and fled in a vehicle. No one was injured, but officers did find evidence of the shooting at the location.

Through their investigation, officers developed probable cause to arrest Luna for the incident. PACT officers following up on investigative information located Luna in an alley in the 100 block of west Houston in Spokane County just before 10:00pm. Luna was taken into custody without incident. He was booked into Spokane County Jail for 1st Degree Assault and Drive-By Shooting.

Luna is expected to be in court today at 1:30pm.
