SPD Detectives are investigating a downtown assault that occurred early Sunday morning. The victim remains in the hospital in intensive care.
On June 12, 2016, at about 01:30 am, police responded to a 911 call reporting a fight in front of Lucky’s Irish Pub (408 W Sprague). Officers responded to find a large crowd amid multiple reports of fighting outside the location. When they found a man on the ground with visible head injuries, medics responded and transported the man to the hospital in critical condition.
The victim had been at Lucky’s with at least one friend. Shortly after he left, an argument ensued on the sidewalk outside, before turning into a fight that left the victim unconscious on the ground with injuries to his head. He is still hospitalized in intensive care.
Detectives need your help as they work to determine who was involved and how this man sustained his injuries. Anyone who was near Lucky’s Irish Pub early last Sunday morning, or who may have information about the fight (16-211571) is asked to call Crime Check at 509-456-2233.
