On Sunday, January 8 at approximately 23:41 hours, the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting in the area of 7th & Thierman Rd. On Monday, January 9, just after midnight, Spokane Police Officers responded to a male who had been shot in the 1300 block of E. Sprague.
This morning the Spokane Police Major Crimes Unit (MCU), with assistance from the SPD SWAT Team, located and took into custody the suspect from both assaults. SPD is the lead agency on both cases.
SPD detectives are currently executing search warrants and information on the case is still being compiled.
It does not appear there is an on-going threat to the public and police are not looking for additional suspects.
Spokane Police will be holding a press conference to explain the details of this still evolving investigation. The press conference will be held on Thursday, January 12 at 10:00 am in the Gardner Building conference room (1427 W. Gardner).
