Spokane Police Investigate Stabbing

Spokane Police are investigating a stabbing which occurred in the 1800 block of W. Boone Ave. The suspect called in after stabbing his roommate with a knife.

Today, January 15, 2017, just before 4:30PM, Spokane Police responded to the report of a stabbing in the 1800 block of W. Boone Ave. The suspect called 911 to advise he had stabbed his roommate, and he would be standing by for Police contact. Spokane Police Officer’s arrived on scene, detained the cooperative suspect, and rendered immediate medical first aid to the victim. Spokane Fire Department personnel, along with the AMR Ambulance crews, arrived on scene and took over the first aid on the victim.

The victim was transported to a local hospital where he is being treated for his life threatening injuries. The investigation is ongoing, and being handled by the Spokane Police Major Crimes Unit (MCU). The suspect is in Police custody, and there is no outstanding threat to the community.
